1 | Who should baptize? | Acts 2:41 | Searcher56 | 218191
God's day to you, CDBJ, On the first Pentecost, it would have been tough for the 12 to baptize 3000. The Bible doesn't say if it was just them or the 120 (Act 1:15). Nonetheless, some churches say only the ministers may baptize, others expand it to other church leaders. Some say any believer. I believe any Christian can baptize. A dying man was saved. He was unable to get out of his men. A Christian visted him and led him to the Lord. (tears as I type) This man wanted to be baptized. So the Christian got some water and a cloth to smybolized the washing away of the sins. (tears) Yes, there were tears then, too, including his family, who were believers. Some immersion only folks would reject that he was baptized. Searcher |

2 | Who should baptize? | Acts 2:41 | lionheart | 218202
Searcher, Good day brother. Correct you are. It would have been tough for the twelve or even the 120. But! Here's another possibility. Looking at Jesus great commission command. Part of that was them baptising those that believe. This was all inclusive. (All believers) 3000 people were baptised that day. We could have believers baptising others after they themselves were baptised. In Light of Jesus commandment in Matt 28:18-20 this would make sense and even provide an answer for how things proceeded that day.
