1 | Are we presenting the gospel scripturaly | Acts 2:38 | lionheart | 173210
Brad, Good day brother. People always seem to get in trouble with this one.Salvation is simple,we just make it hard. Without faith everything else is meaningless. Repentence becomes nothing more that meaningless words, empty promises devoid of any credibility and baptizm nothing more tan ritual and getting wet. Bottom line, Without faith we are highly unlikely to do any of those things refered to in Acts chapter two. Thanx Brother, lionheart |

2 | Are we presenting the gospel scripturaly | Acts 2:38 | DocTrinsograce | 173211
Dear Brother Lionheart, The way I'd put it is that the Gospel is simple. There really isn't anything simple about salvation. It is entirely a work of God, start to finish, and was a more difficult, costly, and mysterious work than all of His other works put together. For clarity, we must distinguish in our language when we are talking about the Gospel message and when we are talking about God's work of salvation. Faith and repentance are always a consequence when God regenerates one of His own. God's grace in salvation is always effectual. God's eternal purpose can never be thwarted by anyone or anything. In Him, Doc |
