1 | Is Allah the God of Israel? | Acts 28:2 | kalos | 157782
Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? ____________________ "The God of the Bible and the god of Islam are not the same at all." ____________________ 'Answer: Christians and Muslims do not worship the same God because the God of the Bible and the god of the Koran are completely different. Allah did not become a man to die for the sins of the world. There are many other crucial differences, but this is the most important one. Jesus (Biblical Christianity) is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. 'Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Islam says the idea that Jesus is God is heresy. To Christians, Jesus being God is absolutely the truth. The God of the Bible and the god of Islam are not the same at all.' 2 | An Unknown God? | Acts 28:2 | Robin Hass | 157784
Hi Kalos, Your opinion contradicts Act 17:23-27 "For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, 'TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.' Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. "The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; Any pagan, heathen or Muslim who holds the concept of the God who created the universe holds the concept of the monotheistic God. Acts 4:12 refers to salvation which cannot be obtained from the 'generic God' except by His Son Jesus. Muslims hold an inadequate and incomplete picture of the Creator God, but I disagree with you that their God is someone else. Yes, they worship Him in ignorance and they are not saved. Robin |

The God of the Bible is not Allah. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not Allah. Yahweh (Jehovah) is not Allah. Jesus Christ is not Allah. Jesus Christ is not the son of Allah. |

4 | How should theos be translated in Malti? | Acts 28:2 | Robin Hass | 157790
I appreciate we are mixing English and Malti to some extent in this debate. What Malti word would Maltese evangelicals translate theos as then? God is an English word; Allah means God in their language. |
