1 | jcsav, Why isn't believing being saved? | Acts 16:31 | jcsav | 142745
There is believing and there is believing to the saving of ones soul. That is what Act 16:30-34 mean, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Rom 10:8-14 can be explain in verse 16."But they have not all obeyed the Gospel, For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believe our report? As you can see OBEYING the Gospel is linked to believing the Report. You can not say you believe and disobey. (1 Cor l:21) it is preaching that save them that believe. Not believing itself. You still think God disagrees with me. The Scripture said that Simeon believed and was Baptized. Did that make him saved. No. Maybe he got it together later on.

Hello jcsav, Are you trying to tell us that God can't save someone without someone preaching to the individual? Does that mean that since I believed in Jesus, by reading the Bible on my own, with only the Holy Spirit revealing truth to me that I’m not actually saved? John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Matthew 16:16-17 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Have a nice day, CDBJ |

Scripture ... Rom 1:18ff, 10:15-13 ............ CDBJ, While it is rare, I know of others who became Christians without hearing the Gospel ... it was reading like you. It is tougher since the electonic age. Also, remember that most people could not read or write for centuries, including the NT times. So they needed a preacher to be sent ... there is the need today, still. Searcher |

Seacher, I agree with you that a Preacher is still need. But if we are going to ignore Scripture because of the sign of the times. Then why bother? Tongues was in that day. Now is Preaching, also in that day?
