1 | Do you pay tithes on whole check or part | Acts 15:1 | marcyp | 64189 | ||
I have been paying tithes for a long time and I have a question. I would like to know, do you pay tithes on your income, before or after taxes? I have always paid on the take home pay, what I have always taken home. Am I paying tithes on the wrong amount? Thanks Marcyp |

My anwer will probably not be what you are looking for because it goes against modern church tradition. However take this to prayer and seek God's answer and revelation. It is the Holy Spirit that leads us and guides us into ALL Truth!!!! Tithing is not a requirement as some teach in the church. Acts 15:7 And after there had been a long debate, Peter got up and said to them, Brethren, you know that quite a while ago God made a choice or selection from among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the message of the Gospel [concerning the attainment through Christ of salvation in the kingdom of God] and believe (credit and place their confidence in Acts 15:8 And God, Who is acquainted with and understands the heart, bore witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit as He also did to us; Acts 15:9 And He made no difference between us and them, but cleansed their hearts by faith (by a strong and welcome conviction that Jesus is the Messiah, through Whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God). Acts 15:10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting a yoke on the necks of the disciples, such as neither our forefathers nor we [ourselves] were able to endure? Acts 15:11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace (the undeserved favor and mercy) of the Lord Jesus, just as they [are]. |
