2 | Controversy over Paul's missionary work | Acts 13:46 | Makarios | 219515 | ||
Greetings JMoon03, Acts 13:44-14:4 shows that Paul and Barnabas realize that they are called also to be "a light to the Gentiles" (v. 47), since God "had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles" (14:27, NKJV). It is of no coincidence then, that the very next Chapter, Acts 15, chronicles the Council of Jerusalem, and how the church addresses the controversies of legalism, how to handle Gentile believers, the testimony of Paul and Barnabas, and the decision of the Council in regards to Gentile believers. Blessings to you, Makarios |
