Dear Mommapbs: Who can baptize someone else? Must it be an Ordained person as Southern Baptist believe? Where must it take place? Some have small bottles of the river Jorden water and add it in the rest of the water. Arethere certian word which must be said in a direct way to make baptism real? aagpe, justme |

Greetings justme! You know, I never really thought about this question. Jesus' disciples did the baptizing. Now we entrust this act of obedience to the pastor or minister, a shepherd of the flock. Perhaps in some fellowships, an elder performs this. I really don't know. As far as words that make the baptism "real" . . . I believe that unless a baptism is the result of the believer's inward desire to be obedient to this command of Christ, it's nothing more than getting a bath without soap. Blessings, Mommapbs |
