1 | Can Satan ever speak truth? | John 8:44 | nathanbgerman | 236666
As I read this verse (John 8:44) last night, there was one line that stood out to me. It said, "There is no truth in him." What does that mean? Is it saying that it's not even possible for Satan to tell the truth or that he never does or what? I mean I know the devil is a liar and the father of lies, but does he ever tell the truth? What if it's a bad truth?
2 | Can Satan ever speak truth? | John 8:44 | EdB | 236691

3 | Can Satan ever speak truth? | John 8:44 | thenoel2 | 236692
Satan may at times acknowledge the truth but it is never in his spirit. His intention always is to deceive. He may use truth and thwart it for his own purposes. For example in Luke 4:34 Satan says this: “Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” Here you see the acknowledgement of Jesus and who He is. |
