Searcher56: Foot washing is an outward act of humbeling one's self. Both the foot washer and washie experience something about receieving and giving. Two times I trimmed a old ladies toe nails. She was so greatfull. She was dying of cancer, and embarressed to ask anyone to do this for her. This was in September 1997, and again in March of 1998, that I did this for her. I will say it was I who was blessed. I felt undeserving to have been asked to do such an honoranle task. My Mother died August 2, 1998. For one who gave me the gift of life I could do no less. agape, justme, the old ladies son. |
