Hi sweet, You have a confusing typo in your question, but I would like to speak to the verses that you mention. The typo concerns the "crisis" which I would deduce to be the "Christ". I would be more certain of that if it had been capitalized. But again, I speak to you as a "capitalizer" and as a supporter of the NASB version with it's capitalization efforts. The miracle that you are speaking of is the feeding of the multitude and the following discertation of Jesus claiming to be the Bread of life. I capitalize Bread because of His Deity which is shown in the other verse that you mention. That is, Jesus claimed to be the Son of God as well as the Son of Man in this passage. The NKJ renders John 6:65 with an extra pronoun in a different manuscript. "And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been granted him from *My Father." This Deity that Jesus claimed is shown in the Bread of life and in the claim of the Son speaking of His Father. Difficult words, difficult statements, who can listen to it? Yet they are words of eternal life to those who believe. That is, those who believe that the Christ is the only begotten Son of God. I believe also that the words of Jesus are words of spirit and life. I compare John 6:63 with John 3:34 in that the spirit gives life and it is is given with out measure. John 3:34, "For He whom God has sent speaks the words of (God); for He gives the *spirit without measure. John 6:62, "What then if you should behold the Son of (Man) ascending where He was before? It is the *spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life." I believe that His words are spirit but I also believe that the Word is Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:14, "But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the (Lord) is Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit./" From the heart, Ray |
