1 | Is my friend still going to heaven? | John 3:16 | soconfusedinthisworld | 227941
I have a friend who accepted christ 2 years ago. Now, she claims to be a atheist and doesn't go to church. She never said she didn't believe in christ anymore though. Do you think she is going to heaven?
2 | Is my friend still going to heaven? | John 3:16 | John Ryals | 227953
First let me say that God determines who goes! Now in reference to your question, I like the scriptures in the Book of Revelation where John is sending the letters to the churches. (Revelation, Chapter 2, verses 1-7.) 1 Unto the Angel of the Church of Ephesus write; These things says He who holds the Seven Stars in His Right Hand, Who walks in the midst of the Seven Golden Candlesticks; 2 I know your works and your labour, and your patience, and how you cannot bear them which are evil: and you have tried them which say they are Apostles, and are not, and have found them liars: 3 And have borne, and have patience, and for my Name's sake have laboured, and have not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you are fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto you quickly, and remove your candlestick out of his place, except you repent. 6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. 7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the Churches; To him who overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God. You notice In the first part of the letter the Angel is saying He knew their good works but in the latter part of the letter he was not so satisfied and was instucting them to return to their 'First Love." If we fall away we must repent and return to our Lord and Saviour. FYI: The 'Nicolaitans taught the doctrine of 'Balaam" and "Balaams'" time era began in (B.C. 1451). Balaam was the Son of Beor a man endowed with the gift of prophecy, (Numbers 22:5). The word "Nicolaitanes" means "laity-conquerors." They are Preachers who exploit the people instead of Spiritually developing them, which all false doctrine does. The Lord hates this, and so should we! Try to get friend to come back to "The Cross of Christ!" On a personal thought I am having a hard time believing she believes in Christ making such ludicrous claims. May God Bless you and give you strength to approach your friend and try to get her to return to Church. |

Okay. I'll try bringing her to church soon. She thinks that she can be an atheist WHILE being a "christian".
4 | Is my friend still going to heaven? | John 3:16 | John Ryals | 227979
Matthew 6:24 states, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon," (This is flat out, stated as, an impossibility; it is total devotion to God, or ultimately it will be total devotion to the world."Mammon" is derived from the Babylonian "Mimma," which means "anything at all"). May I make another suggestion, You, knowing the provided scripture, and it's exegesis, If you can just get your friend in an enviroment of believers, then just let the Holy Spirit do his work and you can just continue to show 'Love.' Thereby fullfilling the 'Law of Christ'. May God Bless You, John Ryals |
