1 | Is Jesus Angry everyday? | John 3:16 | humbledbyhisgrace | 181800
Shing, You have an interesting approach to discussing the word of God for a sinless person. You make the point I am trying to make to you. You make a false claim you cannot back with scripture. When confronted with scripture you fail to address it, i.e. you are not willing to be taught by scripture. You instead do as you accuse me of doing and that is, you reject the clear teaching of scripture. You are the one who chooses to pick and choose the scriptures. If not then why do you continue to avoid the scriptures presented in this discussion? I don’t wish to play games with God’s word. There are more then enough people out there twisting it and playing with it as if it’s a toy. I believe it to be the very word of God given to mankind. I am humbled by it, awed by it, amazed at it, ever trying to learn and understand it, but I refuse to play games with it as I believe we are to respect it and seek to learn and understand it and to help others to do so as well. I make no claims to be the authority over it, but I grow tired of so many so called “sinless”, “Christian” people and their games. This forum is intended for Bible Study. We as brothers and sisters in Christ may not agree on everything but the intent here is to study and discuss the word of God. It’s not a stage for false teachings. By Faith, Steve |

shing, I think you mean Proverbs 22:24 (ESV) Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, I'm sure that was just a typo but I wanted to add the correct scripture reference for others that may read along :-) By the way, I'm not angry. I was only trying to discuss the word of God with you. It is good for brothers and sisters to discuss the word of God and help each other understand. For one, none of us know it all so to conduct oneself as if they do is helpful to no one. There are many who read along with each post so it is good to ensure we do the best we can to accurately teach and discuss the word. And when another brother or sister points us to scripture that clearly teaches something different then what we are teaching or believe to be true we must be willing to forego our pride and accept the truth taught in scripture. If you disagree with a teaching then your disagreement should be backed up with scripture in order to bring out the truth. Even then we (the brothers and sisters in Christ) still may find ourselves in disagreement. However, I believe that God will bless us through our honest attempt to understand His truth and will lead us into that truth as we all continue to seek it. As I said, I'm not angry so please don't confuse what I say as anger. I have tried to discuss the word of God with you, I have also read your post to others. You come across as if you are unwilling to be taught by scripture. I pray that is not true but so far it appears to be so. By Faith, Steve |

4 | Is Jesus Angry everyday? | John 3:16 | shing | 181894
Its not about "me" its about what the Saviour of the world (Jesus) said. My "opinion" your "opinion" his "opinion" doesn't matter. Whats important is life or death and that we all find life. The Word is important and we can all have fun sharing in Love and respect without judgments and condemnation. We must reason together. 1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Blessings |

"Its not about 'me' ts about what the Saviour of the world..." (sic) All that sounded so good until the rest of your statement had so many first person, plural pronouns in it! How about: It is all and only about God. Period. All the "we" stuff is entirely and utterly for His glory. If it is for anything else, then it is clearly a violation of the first commandment. |

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Chill its all good... |

"His name was Ignorance..." (From "The Pilgrim's Progress") 'Here, therefore, they met with a very brisk lad that came out of that country, and his name was Ignorance... 'When Christian saw that the man was wise in his own conceit, he said to Hopeful whisperingly, “There is more hope of a fool than of him.” (Prov. 26:12.) And said, moreover, “When he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool. (Eccl. 10:3.) What, shall we talk farther with him, or outgo him at present, and so leave him to think of what he hath heard already, and then stop again for him afterwards, and see if by degrees we can do any good to him? Then said Hopeful, '“Let Ignorance a little while now muse On what is said, and let him not refuse Good counsel to embrace, lest he remain Still ignorant of what’s the chiefest gain. God saith, those that no understanding have, (Although he made them,) them he will not save.” 'HOPEFUL: He further added, It is not good, I think, to say so to him all at once; let us pass him by, if you will, and talk to him anon, even as he is able to bear it.' ____________________ The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan Christian Classics Ethereal Library http://www.ccel.org/ccel/bunyan/pilgrim.html |
