1 | Is Jesus Angry everyday? | John 3:16 | shing | 181744 | ||
What I would do with 1 Cor is first of all know what Paul writing about and why. These are spirital babies, who have allowed sin in the church. Paul is trying to counsel and discipline God's children that haven't grown up yet. We must feed babies milk until they grow. 2Cor Pauling is defending himself and telling the church to grow up and act like mature children of God without sin like we are suppose to be. Again 1 John 3. You ask who do I think 1 John is written to beleivers or non beleivers, the entire Bible is written to the Saints of God. Not unbeleivers. Thats why sinners cannot understand the Word of God. They read with a natural eye and it takes a spirital eye. It takes the Holy Ghost to understand the mysteries of God.1 Cor. 15:2/1 Cor. 14:2/ 1 Cor 4:1/ Luke 8:10/ Eph. 3:4. Lord Bless You |

Greetings shing! You said "What I would do with 1 Cor is first of all know what Paul writing about and why. These are spirital babies, who have allowed sin in the church. Paul is trying to counsel and discipline God's children that haven't grown up yet." Would you agree that these "spiritual babies" are Christians, born again believers every bit as much a child of God as you or any other child of God is? You said "2Cor Pauling is defending himself and telling the church to grow up and act like mature children of God without sin like we are suppose to be." Again, are these not believers, born again children of God Paul is speaking to? shing, if these are born again children of God which the scriptures clearly say they are do you still maintain the believer does not sin? You failed to mention 1 John chapter 3. We cannot just have some Bible we have to have it all, We cannot just take the scriptures we like and tear out the ones we don't. It all goes together. Agree? Lord Bless You |

Shing, You have an interesting approach to discussing the word of God for a sinless person. You make the point I am trying to make to you. You make a false claim you cannot back with scripture. When confronted with scripture you fail to address it, i.e. you are not willing to be taught by scripture. You instead do as you accuse me of doing and that is, you reject the clear teaching of scripture. You are the one who chooses to pick and choose the scriptures. If not then why do you continue to avoid the scriptures presented in this discussion? I don’t wish to play games with God’s word. There are more then enough people out there twisting it and playing with it as if it’s a toy. I believe it to be the very word of God given to mankind. I am humbled by it, awed by it, amazed at it, ever trying to learn and understand it, but I refuse to play games with it as I believe we are to respect it and seek to learn and understand it and to help others to do so as well. I make no claims to be the authority over it, but I grow tired of so many so called “sinless”, “Christian” people and their games. This forum is intended for Bible Study. We as brothers and sisters in Christ may not agree on everything but the intent here is to study and discuss the word of God. It’s not a stage for false teachings. By Faith, Steve |

shing, are you trying to say that believers commit no sin whatsoever, or that they are not sinners, in the sense that they do not commit repeated, habitual sin? If it is the first than I am inclined to agree with humbledbyhisgrace - if the second than I can see things the way you are saying. -Kevin |
