Dear John, I agree that the analogy is quite poor. In fact, no analogy could come close to the Real Thing in any way shape or form. No fable could come remotely close to illustrating the degradation of sin or the incredible wonder of grace. In any case, perhaps now is a good time for me to drop the subject.
