1 | "Will be";Will God Bring" Future tense | John 3:13 | EdB | 138552 | ||
So in fact you asked a leading question not for information but rather to argue your point. In other words you used deception to try to invoke an argument. Is that not correct? I really have better things to do than to try to persuade an obvious made up mind to something they want to banter about. EdB |

No, what is the point of this? Are you here simply to persuade people to your point of view or for learning? Romans 15:4 4For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Or perhaps you are beyond the learning stage and are not open-minded. I think this pretty well sums up your position: Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 2:5,6 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding My position is expressed clearly in 2 Cor 10:8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769. Ask yourself a question on this issue of soul sleep. Why is it the biggest proponent of this false teaching is the Jehovah Witnesses a recognized and proven cult. The "soul sleep' teaching has been addressed many many times by leading and very learned Christian apologist and theologians. In each investigation of such it is consistently and conclusively proven to be false. You come to this forum and present a very shallow and at least to me, a convoluted argument in an effort to support the false doctrine of 'soul sleep'. Soul sleep stands in direct conflict with the teaching of the New Testament which clearly teaches that once a person that is Christ Jesus dies his spirit immediately goes into the presence of the Lord and is aware of it's surroundings. And you used what I view as deception to even engage in this discussion. And now when others and I point out the weaknesses of your argument you call us closed minded. I have one thing to say then my friend, call me closed minded. EdB |
