What other kind of wine is there? I don't recall that wine was used at the last supper though, seeing that is was a celebration of the Passover. The fermentation, or yeast process, wasn't even used to make the bread. Don't confuse wine with the fruit of the vine. The Bible does say that Christ drank wine; which is not a sin. It is no more a sin then eating; just as with drinking wine, when one eats too much they can be sinning; it's just not as devastating to others. Now if this answer causes someone to go on a binge just remember the verses in Romans! Romans 14:21-23 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. 22Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. 23And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. I answer this with reluctance, CDBJ |
