1 | Is it so hard to believe Jesus | Luke 6:46 | Asis | 81319 | ||
Isn't this walk a walk of surrender, a walk of renewal? I mean before I believed, Jesus was just this guy and then something change in my thinking and I recognized who He was and for the first time knew who I was. I asked Him to be the Lord of my life and have been surrendering and being renewed ever since. What is being taught to the new believers (and old for that matter) that causes so much trouble? Jesus said, (Luke 6:46) And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Is it so hard to believe Jesus? |

Wondering if perhaps you need to rephrase the question, with regards to your question "What is being taught to the new believers (and old for that matter) that causes so much trouble?" ? Is it so hard to believe Jesus? Luke Chapter 6 is a heart issue to me, an issue of love. I can call my teacher, teacher all day, when do they truly become my teacher? When I apply what they teach. When I do the assignments they tell me to do and turn them in. When I learn from them by their teaching. Addressing someone as Lord can be a formality or a matter of the heart and obedience from an applied faith in love from the heart. It is hard to believe sometimes when we look at the natural circumstances and take our eyes away from the LORD. We cry out, Lord help my unbelief. Our unbelief does not go out without prayer and fasting. Prayer is fellowship with the Lord where we get to know Him and fasting is a "doing" it changes us, it doesn't change the Lord. |
