1 | Did the Apostles have a choice? | Luke 5:8 | mark d seyler | 179216 | ||
I believe the apostles did have a choice. Peter's first response to Jesus was, (Luke 5:8) "Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!" Paul wrote Timothy, (1 Tim 2:3-4) "This (prayers) is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." Paul further wrote, (Titus 2:11) "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men," Everyone has the opportunity. God desires all to be saved. And people respond as they want to. Peter wanted to follow Jesus, but he was afraid. Jesus reassured Peter's fear, and Peter followed Jesus to the death. Unless you believe you will be destroyed. Do you believe? Love in Christ, Mark |
