1 | Did the Apostles have a choice? | Luke 5:8 | KumKum | 179215
It seems like Jesus's apostles didnt have a choice when he called them. I dont see it as bad. I was thinking maybe he can call anyone like that when the time is right? Becouse it says that we are bought with a price? And isnt Jesus tying down the strong one so he can rob him? It just takes 1000's of years ? :P I just find it so hard to belive that people are going to be destroyed. And who can say no to God when he knows how amazing he is? Even the wisdome of men is foolishness to God. How is it just then to destroy people who simply didnt know better? |

2 | Did the Apostles have a choice? | Luke 5:8 | mark d seyler | 179216
I believe the apostles did have a choice. Peter's first response to Jesus was, (Luke 5:8) "Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!" Paul wrote Timothy, (1 Tim 2:3-4) "This (prayers) is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." Paul further wrote, (Titus 2:11) "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men," Everyone has the opportunity. God desires all to be saved. And people respond as they want to. Peter wanted to follow Jesus, but he was afraid. Jesus reassured Peter's fear, and Peter followed Jesus to the death. Unless you believe you will be destroyed. Do you believe? Love in Christ, Mark |

3 | Did the Apostles have a choice? | Luke 5:8 | KumKum | 179219
I would never have given the Bible a chance if i didnt have a thing called social phobia. The bible did what nothing else could. Medicine or doctors or whatever. Im not sure if i'll be lost or saved or even if anyone is lost or saved. But the only thing that led me to God, Jesus and the bible was this terrible phobia. I didnt leave my house for over 3 years, but now i travel and live normally. Thank God for this terrible disgusting phobia! |

4 | Did the Apostles have a choice? | Luke 5:8 | CDBJ | 179221
Hi KumKum, The Bible is great and the “biggest phobia” that is cures in the fear of man’s future existence after physical death. We all know that God wouldn’t tell us something that isn’t true. Check this out. 1 John 5:10-13 The one who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness that God has borne concerning His Son. [11] And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. [12] He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. [13] These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life. Is that a fantastic promise or what! That mean you can know if you have eternal life, in fact God say if you don’t believe it you are making Him out to be a liar. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. Have a great day, CDBJ |
