1 | Is flesh existing in heaven now? | Luke 24:39 | kalos | 109115
NASB Luke 24:39 "See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." Your brother-in-law may say that Christ exists with flesh and blood in heaven. However, that is NOT what Jesus himself said. After his resurrection, he said that he was flesh and bones. Flesh and bones -- not flesh and blood. "...For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." |

2 | Is flesh existing in heaven now? | Luke 24:39 | Renovate Me | 109141
Thank you, Kalos and momma for your excellent replies. Yes, verses 24:42-43 fortify the belief that Christ was actual flesh after he had arisen. "42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43And he took [it], and did eat before them."(KJV) However my thought was that after His ascension into the clouds, there was no longer use for this fleshly burden and Jesus is in heaven in His resurrected body, or his Spirit, but I find it hard to think He is living in flesh in heaven. Is there anything to that? Bless you and thanks. |

3 | Is flesh existing in heaven now? | Luke 24:39 | Ray | 126381
Hi Renovate Me, I , also, would find it hard to think that He is living in flesh in heaven. When we see Him we shall see Him as He is. We know that God is Spirit. What kind of a body does a Spirit have? I would say that it is a spiritual body. I would suggest that for your post where you wrote that "Jesus is in heaven in His resurrected body, or his Spirit", that you consider rewriting that and linking the resurrected body with His spirit [sic]. Proven to be the Son of God, He has a resurrected spiritual body, and is one Spirit. |
