1 | jawz, Who's the carpenter, son of Mary? | Mark 6:3 | jawz | 47971 | ||
So how do you explain Jesus entrusting Mary to the Apostle John. What is your basis for this if Mary has other children. We see in Acts that Jesus "brothers" believe after Jesus resurrection, so if they really are Mary's children they would certainly look after her. For Jesus to entrust his mother to someone else when she had other children would have been a serious breach of tradition and a serious affront to his "brothers. Can you explain this? No? Conclusion, Mary had no other children. |

Scripture ... Matt 12:46-50; Mark 3:31-35; Luke 8:19-21; John 7:5, 19:26-27; 2 CorĀ 6:14 ... jawz, His brothers did not believe (John 7:5) and their motives for coming to Him was to see if He was in His right mind, in Mark's account. In all three accounts, He said that His brothers and mother weren't His phyiscal family. Then when He joined His mother and John (John 19:26-27, He was linking His phyiscal and spiritual family. Paul pointed out this principle of not being bound together with unbelievers (2 CorĀ 6:14) ... and I think this applies here. It doesn't mean we can leave our families if they do not believe. Hope this clears up your questions, Searcher |
