AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 6:3 "Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are His sisters not here with us?" And they were [deeply] offended by Him [and their disapproval blinded them to the fact that He was anointed by God as the Messiah]. |

Bible Note: Scripture ... Matt 12:46-50; Mark 3:31-35; Luke 8:19-21; John 7:5, 19:26-27; 2 CorĀ 6:14 ... jawz, His brothers did not believe (John 7:5) and their motives for coming to Him was to see if He was in His right mind, in Mark's account. In all three accounts, He said that His brothers and mother weren't His phyiscal family. Then when He joined His mother and John (John 19:26-27, He was linking His phyiscal and spiritual family. Paul pointed out this principle of not being bound together with unbelievers (2 CorĀ 6:14) ... and I think this applies here. It doesn't mean we can leave our families if they do not believe.
