1 | Disputed Ending of Mark 16 | Mark 16:9 | rstrats | 235935 | ||
EdB, re: "I'm not real sure what you are asking..." I'm simply asking for a published author who argues for a change of observance from the seventh day to the first day, at least in part due to the idea of a first day resurrection, and who supports a first day resurrection with Mark 16:9. BTW, I'm afraid I don't see your point in quoting the Matthew, Luke and John passages. |

The Catholic Mirror published a series of articles from September 2, 9, 16 and 23, 1893 dealing with this subject. (And also others before and after this to recent times). I think this might be the quote you are looking for... "The Catholic Church for over one thousand years before the existence of a Protestant, by virtue of her divine mission changed the day from Saturday to Sunday." |

you, re: "groups.yahoo.com/group/textualcriticsm/message/6651" Once again your link doesn't identify a published author who argues for a change of observance from the seventh day of the week to the first day due to the idea of a first day resurrection, and who supports a first day resurrection with Mark 16:9. |
