Greetings SRN! There aren't many recorded instances of the Jews stoning people during the Roman rule. There are a few, like Stephen in Acts. By Roman law though, it was illeagle for them to execute anyone. They might have been able to get away with it every now and then with people of little importance. However, stoning Jesus would have been too public. Now concerning Jesus, as a "public figure", one may loosely consider Jesus a political figure. However, there is no record of Him being involved in or starting any political movement. In your previous post, you said that you had sources for your position. Would you mind sharing them so that we can better evalute your statements? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Greetings SRN! I'm assuming that you're asking "how do I figure that Jesus wasn't a political leader?". If so, see my response to your post of 2/7/02 5:52 a.m.. I list some of the evidence there from Scripture that Jesus was not a political leader. You must be an earlier riser like me! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
