1 | that they may be one as we are one | Mark 10:18 | userdoe217 | 11141
I don't think he lied. But why go to the extreme of him LYING or him claiming to be GOD? There's no middle option? But you forget that in John 17:11 Jesus says: John 17:11 "I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are. Now he says "that THEY may be one EVEN as we are" So, either he is lying or maybe we should all be worshipping each other as God --- just like he is One with God,all of us should be One with God (in his words we should be one with God in the SAME WAY he is one with God, not figuratively correct?) Also dont forget John 17:22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one Again he claims that we can be one with God just like he is.. Are you sure he is implying we can be divine (part of the trinity/son of God) as he is? I think that he did not mean "I am one with God" literally, but he meant one with God in Purpose, not substance. The discliples could not become One With God like he was, but they can be one in purpose, just as Jesus and the Father are one in Purpose. |

2 | that they may be one as we are one | Mark 10:18 | EdB | 11151
Isa No there is no middle ground, either Jesus is God or the whole thing is a lie. We can't compromise, we can't distort. Jesus is God or Jesus is a lie. God clearly said there is one God, Deut. 6:4 "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! Mark 12:29 Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; State it anyway you want, but unless it comes up Jesus and God are one and there is one God you have a lie. Sorry but there is no compromise! And remember this He loves you and so do I! Ed |

I totally agree! God clearly said there is one God, Deut. 6:4 "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! Mark 12:29 Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; Isa |

4 | that they may be one as we are one | Mark 10:18 | EdB | 11230
Isa Then you clearly agree Jesus is God!!! Praise God! See you can not pick and choose which saying of the person you are going to believe and which you are not. If you believe Jesus to be an honest man then you must believe when he say He and the Father are one. If you have seen me you have seen the Father. I'm the only way to the Father. And that there will be many deceivers come after him. He said the good shepherd lays down his life for the flock, and he did. None since have ever done this. Each have died seeking more for themselves than for their followers. Jesus accurately prophesied each and everything that would take place, He told of his betrayal, He told of his death, He told of burial and spending three days in the earth, He told of His resurrection, He told of his ascension, He told of the coming Holy Spirit. He told of His soon to be return. He also told us no other would come after him (except to deceive) until he came again. All that He told us has come to pass with the exception of His return which we anxiously await. Since Mohammed came after Him, sought only his own gain, and never had a prophecy right in his life why would should anyone believe the Quran which he wrote? One word fear. Fear of reprisals from Islamic fanatics, reprisals from an angry God, Fear is all Islam offers. Unless you buy into the lie that when you die you get to go to heaven and have many virgins. I wonder how many virgins are waiting for that kind of heaven? |

5 | Belief in All of Jesus | Mark 10:18 | userdoe217 | 11375
Okay I agree with you. There are two points in your email, one about christianity and one about islam. let me ask about the first one: before i start I would like to ask you to please reply with the verse for "He also told us no other would come after him (except to deceive) until he came again" Do you believe he is the last Prophet of God? Now you say we cant pick and choose the verses we want to believe in, okay fine. then please explain this verse: John 17:11 "I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are." John 17:22 "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one" In his words we should be one with God in the SAME WAY he is One with God, not figuratively correct? Please explain, Isa PS i will post seperately for your other question. |

6 | Belief in All of Jesus | Mark 10:18 | EdB | 11379
Isa to answer your first question Jesus was the Messiah and here he gives you an example of a Messiah. Jesus was not a mere prophet He was God among men. John 10:11-13 "I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. 12"He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13"He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. Second question was Jesus the last prophet no but all must pass this test as Paul stated. Galatians 1:8-9 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! Doesn’t leave much room for Mohammed does it? You have been lied to I pray for you Ed |
