1 | Religions, who is right???? | Matt 7:23 | serenetime | 20072
I know there are many man made religions in the world. But if we all believe slightly different, and if our heart is right, and with good intentions, then who are we to say it's wrong?? Doesn't God look at the heart?? If the heart is right, who's to say??? Doesn't God only look at the heart, and it's intentions, and make His decision??? Isn't all religions man made???
2 | Religions, who is right???? | Matt 7:23 | Searcher56 | 20144
Serenetime, Tim and Steve are right. The heart is important, but good intentions can be wrong. Let me add ... all the other religions have a dead leader, unless they are alive now. We have one with an empty tomb, for He conquered death and lives in us. Other religions require you to soemthing to gain eternal life or equivelant ... all we need to do is to believe and call on His name (Rom 10:13). There are groups who want to add to the gospel, but they are wrong and eternaly condemned (Gal 1:6ff) Proverbs 14:12 says, "There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." (Prov 16:25) I hope we three satisfied your question, Searcher |

3 | Religions, who is right???? | Matt 7:23 | stjones | 21547
Hi, Searcher; I once heard a teacher on the radio (Malcolm Smith maybe? about 10 years ago). He was describing his first experience of freedom in Christ. Along the way, he said that you can divide all of the world's religions into two groups: Take two barrels. Place Christianity in the first one and put all the other world's religions in the second. Label the second barrel "Try and Do"; label the first one "Trust and Done". I kinda liked that. Peace and grace, Steve |
