1 | Is it easy for God to forgive? | Matt 6:15 | DocTrinsograce | 199972 | ||
Dear Brother Steve, Let us keep in mind that God is never, ever conflicted about anything He does. As human beings, our various attitudes, motivations, and affections are at odds. It is easy for us to imagine a judge, sadly but necessarily sentencing a guilty man. God does not take a perverse kind of pleasure in the condemnation of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11). However, keep in mind, that every act of God brings Him glory. In the salvation of the elect, His grace and mercy are magnified. In the condemnation of the reprobate, His holiness and justice is magnified. It is not hard for God to be who He is! :-) In Him, Doc |

I know Brother. I sort of left my reverse question hanging in the wind :-) I was trying to draw a contrast between God's nature and our way of looking at things but I did a poor job editing my original :-( Thank you for putting it back on track! Steve |
