1 | Help if woman took neighbor's husband | Matt 5:32 | anamak | 221303
One woman named Lou (Catholic faith) took a neighbor's husband who was married for 20 years with 2 kids, and lead him to divorce. What does the Bible say about it, please? Would you please give me quotes/passages from the Holy Scripture to help Lou understand her spiritual wrongdoing? The ex-wife and the kids still hope that the man would return back to the family one day. He will, if Lou follows her faith, and does a right thing now, letting the man go back to his family. But she needs to be directed to certain relevant passages from the Bible, please. thanks! Pls email me the answer to nastenka_99@yahoo.com

Dear Anamak, 1/ It is sure not appropriate to expose your friend's name (if she is your friend) in a public forum. Despite her wrong doing (only according to what you have portrayed), you should keep her anonymous if you truly treat her as a friend. 2/ This kind of issue is usually very complicated. You should urge and encourage your friend (?) to talk to her pastor or elder or someone mature in faith at her church. 3/ I would suppose that she is your friend, then you should speak the truth in love as what is taught in Mat 18:15-17. Please read the scripture in its context. It is about forgiving, fair judgment and church discipline. Lastly, every action of helping the family and your friend should be supported with fervent and sincere prayers. Shalom Azure P.S. I wonder if you are the wife. |

3 | Help if woman took neighbor's husband | Matt 5:32 | anamak | 221315
nope, I am not the wife, but a daughter who was left by my dad 25 years ago for same reason the man left his wife and the kids, and I just feel for their daughter so much because I once was in her shoes. The woman comitting the adultery is not my friend in a common understanding of this word. She is my friend only in terms of me wishing her good just as I wish good to all people on Earth. 1/I apologyze, I don't really have much experience with forums, so I didn't know that it's not appropriate to expose a person's fist name. (not the last name, of course, but there are so many people who carry the same first name, so I thought it's not really a disclosure of a person's privacy. ) 2/ and 3/ Thanks for the reference to Mat 18:15-17. |
