1 | Name it and claim it?????????????? | Matt 4:3 | Shell | 25033
I have trouble with the "name it and claim it" idea. Does anyone else out there feel the same way? If this is scriptual, what am I missing?
2 | Name it and claim it?????????????? | Matt 4:3 | prayon | 25068
I do believe that you can name it and claim it. I claim things frequently that come to pass. However you can claim something that God has not planned for you. For example you can claim an expensive new car and He will give it to you but you will have problems with the payments, the car, or something else. It will end up being a lesson in asking for what is not in God's will. Sometimes claiming something can be for our own good. When faced with a difficult task repeatedly claiming "I can do it, I can do it" will give you the ability to do it. Name it and claim it is just like everything else - you must do it in moderation and most importantly in God's will. prayon |

3 | Name it and claim it?????????????? | Matt 4:3 | Shell | 25185
To prayon, this is from Shell, I pray constantly, about all things. The verse that keeps going thru my head is : Paraphrased: we ask with the wrong motives. This, I think is in line with a lot of the answers I received tonight. Sometimes, I have trouble with my motives. Anyway, thank you for your response. Shell
