What you wrote made no sense. I am not the judge, nor the gate keeper. But the only Supreme Court Justice in this case has already written His opinion on the matter. It is called the Bible, and it makes very clear to those who have ears to hear what the findings are in the case of Yahweh v. RevC. Please cite some Scripture rebuking me if you think I am mistaken. This is a StudyBibleForum, after all. --Joe! |

Exactly, so stop trying to be. Do you realise that the more you argue your point with someone on a theological meaning, you will acheive their steadfastness in their own interpretation? I somehow doubt this is your intention but it is what you are acheiving. Throwing scripture at a person your way will ensure and strengthen their interpretation no matter how right you may be, and even more importantly, it could convince them that you may have a lack of Christian love for them. Is that really what you want, or do you want to show God's love for them and encourage them down the right road? It isn't all about words and I know that you know this but your words do not show this. Your faith appears to be strong so do you think Jesus would beat RevC down with a stick or gently show him a different road and if RevC still disagrees what do you think Jesus would do? If you still believe your style of discussion is appropriate then by all means go ahead. I am not going to beat you down with a bullish attitude. I have witnessed too many times the destruction that follows. I am not going to through Scripture at you as if I am supposed to be better than you. If I believe someone has lost the path of love and I am not the person to show them a more loving way after trying, then I will go on my way and let God place the most appropriate person in their path. I know for sure that He will. I luv you Joe, coffee |

So the Bible is not useful for correcting or rebuking then (2 Timothy 3:16, which has already been pointed out to you once)? With all due respect, I will believe the Bible on this one. It is not loving at all to lie and say that "he is where he needs to be." A person on their way to hell is never where s/he needs to be. But in an age where the world tells us, "Whatever you do, don't tell someone they are wrong," you fit in quite well with the world. As I said before, give me some Scripture to support the mushy-headedness you are advocating, or drop it. You are simply being unbiblical and flat-out wrong. But, hey, who needs the Bible? We have the world's version of what love is! --Joe! |

I thank God that I am not learning my Christian walk with a non gentle person like yourself. You would surely turn me away from all Christians. It is better that we stay apart. I do not need your toxicity. | ||||||

"I thank God that I am not learning my Christian walk with a non gentle person like yourself. You would surely turn me away from all Christians. It is better that we stay apart. I do not need your toxicity." "Toxicity"? Well, I guess I hit the bullseye with my previous reference to secular psychology! If what you are posting here on this Forum is what you consider to be consistent with biblical Christianity, perhaps you do indeed need to seek out a different teacher. It is people like you who make me a hundred times more furious than RevC does. He is just wrong about Scripture. You, however, are not only posting unbiblical opinions; you are denying the sufficiency and efficacy of Scripture itself to do what God inspired it to do. And it is attitudes like that behind the anemia we see in evangelicalism today. --Joe! |
