1 | What order is in Greek for Matt.21:29 | Matt 21:29 | William R. Hartley | 107009 | ||
I admit I am still confused. I guess I need to make a disclaimer to my First Edition Reference edition and my regular NASV that I use from the pulpit when I come to this passage or pull the reference from Biblegateway.com for powerpoint, and have it read opposite from what I have. My question is regarding earlier printings and the later printings and why the change occured to make it look like the earlier ones were in error. My Interlinear must be an earlier one than the Tyndale one you have referred to. But what is it in the Greek? |

Greetings William! The Greek of Matt. 21:29 literally reads: "the but one who answered he said, 'not I will', afterwards but after repenting he went." 'But' always occurs in the second position in a clause. If I have misunderstood your question, please let me know! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
