1 | Jesus God/God God still unclear | Matt 1:23 | chipmunk | 73127
I think an easy way of looking at this is that as God spoke through Jesus it could be claimed that in such circumstances Jesus and God were one and the same.

They are not the same person, the verse that will prove that they are not the same person is in Mt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. If they are the same person why Christ did not know the time of His second coming? God bless, |

3 | Jesus God/God God still unclear | Matt 1:23 | chipmunk | 73129
Maybe my note was over simplified as I was not claiming that Jesus was God, the point I wished to make was that as God spoke through Jesus it would have been true if Jesus was to say "I am God" because this was not the voice of Jesus claiming to be God but the voice of God claiming to be God, therefore it stands to reason that Jesus Himself, Blessed be His Name, was not aware of the time of the Second Coming.
4 | Jesus God/God God still unclear | Matt 1:23 | jlpangilinan | 73193
I am a little bit confuse in your statement. Quote"I was not claiming that Jesus was God," "because this was not the voice of Jesus claiming to be God but the voice of God claiming to be God". end of quote. Correct me if I am wrong, are you saying that Christ is not God? Scriptures stated that Christ is God. Christ is God but a separate person from God the Father. Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. God bless, |

5 | Jesus God/God God still unclear | Matt 1:23 | chipmunk | 73356
Greetings! I believe that if we were to examine this theme in more depth then we must admit that The divine Reality is sanctified from singleness, plurality and division for these are concepts which belong solely to His creatures while God Himself has no equal, no likeness, no equivalent. The Reality of Christ was a clear and polished mirror of the greatest purity. The Sun of Reality, the Essence of Divinity, reflected itself in this mirror and manifested its light in it from the heaven of its sanctity. The Sun continues to subsist in its exaltation and sublimity, while appearing and becoming manifest in the mirror in beauty and perfection. If we were now to say we have seen two suns, one in heaven and one in Christ who is as a perfect mirror, we speak truly. and if we say that there is only one sun and it has no equal, we again speak truly for God is One. Peace be upon you! |

Your explaination is not biblical, it maybe your conclusion or you maybe you read it somewhere. Some of your explaination is the same when the catholic explain who is Jesus Christ, they explain that when God the Father think of Himself then it was Jesus was brought fort. Jesus Christ is not just a reflection of the Father He is different Person, God the the Father is the Father and Jesus Christ as the God the Son. God bless, |
