1 | Who was Adam and Eve's mother? | Matt 19:4 | Ken John | 110629
Greetings Rowdy, Thanks for your answer. I agree with what you have said that Moses wrote the first five books but under God's inspiration. So God was both father and mother to Adam and Eve ? However Jesus knew the position so why did He mention a father and a mother when, as I read this verse Matt 19:5, He was referring to marriage way back in the beginning? Am I reading into this more than there is? Or is Jesus telling us something we should know for life today? |

2 | Who was Adam and Eve's mother? | Matt 19:4 | Morant61 | 110665
Greetings KenJohn! Yeah, I think that you are reading into it more than there is! ;-) Jesus is simply quoting the first marriage passage as found in Exodus. This passage simply establishes that the normal pattern will be that a man and a women will leave there parents and become a new 'family'. Obviously, this did not apply to Adam and Eve since they had no human parents. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
