1 | Matt. 17:11-13 Elijah to John the Bapt.? | Matt 17:12 | BradK | 143422
Hi Appleseed, I have a question that possibly you could clarify in your "theory": Why do you say "Moses went to heaven, translated like Elijah?" I'm not aware of any scriptural basis for this. Could you provide any? Also, You say "Moses will be one of the two witnesses during the tribulation period (Rev. 11:3-5)." This is a debatable theory and Moses is certainly a possibility as a candidiate. Enoch and Elijah are as well- being translated and not seeing death. The bottom line is this: The Bible doesn't specifically tell us. I see much speculation in your post:-) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

2 | Matt. 17:11-13 Elijah to John the Bapt.? | Matt 17:12 | Appleseed | 143610
Howdee, Yes, as mentioned a theory and not going to debate because it will be foolishness. It doesn't say plainly it happened or else I wouldn’t spend time explaining Biblical principles. Yes dotted lines but these dotted lines are based on foundation Biblical principles, which were highlighted previously. If you don't agree with this then you are still left with the following question that you need to answer. Based on all the possible answers I have been through and commentaries I've read (very little on this I might add) this theory makes the most sense to me biblically but there are still questions like who but the when and why has already been answered: 1) Why did God take personal interest in burring the body of Moses and protecting it from satan as He didn’t do that for anyone else? 2) Why did Jesus speak with him at the mount? It wasn't Enoch but Elijah and Moses. They covered a very specific subject of His second coming - why them? It wasn't someone else, nor was it one or three people but two specific people Elijah and Moses. 3) Keeping in mind anyone calling up the dead to talk are mediums, is an abomination to God. “Or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD” (Deut. 18:11-12). Jesus would not do this so how was it possible for Jesus to call up Moses from Paradise (in Sheol) when satan had the keys over death? No one can have a clear answer on the above without speculation :) In the Living Vine |

Hi Appleseed, Thanks for your response- and no intent to debate- just seeking clarification to better understand your point of view. 1. My understanding for God taking an interest in "in burring the body of Moses " (sic) was to prevent idolatry. 2. Granted Jesus spoke to Moses and Elijah. In Luke 9:31 they "were speaking of his departure"- though no other specifics are given. Anything more is just speculation:-) Your point and "Theory" are noted. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

Hi Brad, Thanks for clarifying. As you know even, 1) To prevent idolatry is speculation which has less scriptural backing, also doesn't answer the fact that it was guarded from satan. There were many other great men of God that had graves, why didn’t God's people us their bones to make them “Idols”? Not one example of where God’s people, those who Feared God, did this with their kings/leaders bones. Also they know that it is unclean to even touch a corpse and to make something an idol is even worse. So the ones who seek God wouldn’t have stumbled at this. 2) They spoke about 2 things 1) His departure (Luke 9:31) 2) His second coming (2 Peter 1:16-18).
