Greetings RCSCROLL, I agree with what you are saying but only if one is a true biblical born again Christian. There are a lot of “so-called” Christians out there that are going to fall into the category of tares and they sure know how to make the proper noises. Let me share a poem that I wrote, a while back, on the subject. THE WHEAT AND THE TARES The Lord spoke a parable, of the wheat and the weeds. He plants only true believers, but the Devil sows some seeds. Let them both grow up together, you’re unable to discern; But in the final time of harvest, the weeds are marked to burn. The Angels are the reapers, who will cut the harvest floor. They’ll gather all the wheat inside, for the Lord whom they adore. There are those within our ranks, that aren’t what they seem to be. They live a self-righteous prank, and it’s hard for them to see. God’s Word declares I know my sheep, and who is of my flock. By the time they learn, it’s an act they played, it’ll come as quite a shock. It’s strange to me how some can claim, that Christ has saved their soul, Then turn and curse the very Name, of the one who made them whole! They use God’s Name in a shameful way, to emphasize their speech. For those who tempt their fate that way, this poem’s meant to reach. Is your life in tune with the Lord each day, in things that you pursue? Is he close at hand; do you stop and pray; are His blessings oft renewed? Do you love His Word; do you share His burden, for a lost and dying soul? Do you hope for Him to return real soon, does your life for Him extol? Is the future clear on your eternal state, have you a promise you can claim? If not I pray, before too late, that you would trust in Jesus’ name. If the Lord is not in your life right now, and you’re ignorant of these needs, It’s sad to say on your last day; you’ll be numbered with the weeds! Have a nice day, CDBJ |

CDBJ How is a "true biblical born again Christian" different from a "Christian"? If I'm a "born again Christian", is that the same as being a "true biblical born again Christian." And what about that "so-called Christian"? I read of a "so-called brother" in 1 Corinthians 5. But he really was a brother, but one who was in danger of falling away. 2 Corinthians 2 indicates that he repented after being disciplined. You use "so-called Christian" as if it is a complete fraud, stealthily operating with sinister motives. Is that correct? If the so-called brother was the tare, then why would Paul 'deliver him over to Satan.' He didn't seem concerned with uprooting the wheat? No, I don't think the parable of the tares has to do with prodigal sons, but it does have to do with false religion: Satan's best effort to confuse those searching for the true church. Consider the merits of these points. Disciplerami |

If you didn’t understand my last post, you couldn’t understand no matter how many different ways I present it. There are those that understand exactly what I meant. 1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Have a nice day, CDBJ |
