Tim, that sounds like fun: asking and answering our own questions! You see, that way there are some users who will feel assured that their questions are being answered by experts :-) --Hank | ||||||

Wow. Is the water warm; can I join in the attack? Is it really necessary to attack the opponent rather than debate his issue? :0 :) :( |

Dear Sniper, This is my fault. I had a bad day and hit the 'send' button before softening the tone of me message. I think CDBJ is fair and really does want to know the truth. We'll keep plugging away. God bless you, Disciplerami |

I have great news for you CDBJ isn’t in the minister of reproving the world, this is the work of the Holy Spirit along with all they that have learned the truth have been taught by Him. You can lead a mule to water but you can’t make him be baptized, or something along those lines. If you are going to get in a Greek contest I will tell you right now and save you a lot of typing that I stand on Tim side in the debate. For me personally I was saved months before I was baptized and I sure had the witness of the Spirit within me as the down payment. If I would have been hit by a buss or run over by a train before I was able to be baptized I still knew that I was in Jesus and I had his righteousness imputed to me because the Lord gave me His assurance. You can debate it until you are blue in the face I personally know what I had before I was baptized. My baptism was a real blessing to me as it is when I see others being baptized, but I can tell you personally that if it wouldn’t have happened, for some strange reason or another, I would have still be safe in the Lord’s hands and you can take that to the bank! Greetings CDBJ! I'm drawing interest on your statement! It's at times like these that I wish we knew one another 'cause I'd just like to run up to you and give you a big hug! But I do look forward to welcoming you and the other combatants on this issue when we ALL get to glory! I can't believe this "debate" is still going on. . .do you think that the Lord is "entertained" or ready to throw the believer out with the baptismal water?! mommapbs |

Nice analogy and I have to agree; I’m glad that the Lord has a sense of humor or we would all be in big trouble. Truthfully though I think the term is long suffering. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
