Hello Aileen, You can also find parallel accounts in Matt. 12:31-32 and Mark 3:28-29. Essentially, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejection or unbelief. One who refuses to believe cannot be forgiven. So, the "unpardonable sin" would be refusal to believe in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope this helps, BradK |

Hi Brad! I can't tell you how relieved you have made me! I read that passage and it scared the "Whoey" out of me. Cuz I didn't know how you could blaspheme against the Holy Spirit and even if you do it because you are just plain stupid (hi, I'm Aileen, nice to meet you) ... the Bible says it is unforgiveable. Whew. You have relieved my heart! Blessings, Aileen | ||||||
