1 | Why was Moses not God's friend? | Ex 33:11 | kalos | 177913
What verse of the Bible tells us that Moses was not God's friend? Please give us the book, chapter and verse where it says that. What the Bible does say is: NASB Exodus 33:11a Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. |

2 | Why was Moses not God's friend? | Ex 33:11 | PRegion | 177914
The word for friend in this verse is rea or reya (Strong's #7453)but in II Chronicles 20:7 and Isaiah 41:8 Abraham is also referred to as God's friend but the word in these verses is ahab (Strong's #157). Why did God regard Abraham as more of a friend than Moses?
3 | Why was Moses not God's friend? | Ex 33:11 | Morant61 | 177915
Greetings PRegion! The problem with your presentation is that none of these verses compare the level of friendship that God had for Abraham and the level of friendship that God had for Moses. They are both identified as friends. Scripture simply uses a different word for friend. Never does Scripture say that Moses was not God's friend. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

4 | Why was Moses not God's friend? | Ex 33:11 | PRegion | 177916
Since scripture used a different word for friend then does it imply that there was a difference in the level of friendship.
5 | Why was Moses not God's friend? | Ex 33:11 | Morant61 | 177927
Greetings PRegion! Not necessarily. There would have to be evidence that there was an established difference of meaning between the two words. In this case, the word used of Abraham (number 157) is not even a noun. It is a verb. The word used of Moses is a noun. So, it would be difficult to say that one implied a greater love than another.
