AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 33:11 And so the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses returned to the camp, his attendant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent. |
Subject: Why was Moses not God's friend? |
Bible Note: The word for friend in this verse is rea or reya (Strong's #7453)but in II Chronicles 20:7 and Isaiah 41:8 Abraham is also referred to as God's friend but the word in these verses is ahab (Strong's #157). Why did God regard Abraham as more of a friend than Moses? |
