AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 33:11 And so the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses returned to the camp, his attendant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent. |
Subject: Why was Moses not God's friend? |
Bible Note: Greetings PRegion! Not necessarily. There would have to be evidence that there was an established difference of meaning between the two words. In this case, the word used of Abraham (number 157) is not even a noun. It is a verb. The word used of Moses is a noun. So, it would be difficult to say that one implied a greater love than another.
