Greetings Mitch! Again, context answers the question for us. The promise and the seed mentioned in Galatians both refer to Christ (see Gal. 3:15-18). Paul's point in this whole section is simply that the promise of the 'seed - who is Christ' was made prior to the giving of the Law. Paul is not arguing that all of the promises to Israel apply to us today. This specific promise was made to Abraham and 'his seed', who Paul identifies as Christ. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
