1 | EdB, Is promise here for believers today | Ex 23:25 | kalos | 146705
EdB: No criticism here. Just a need for clarification. How did the subject of "rest" come up in this discussion? The word "rest" does not appear at all in Exodus 23:25. How is rest the object of the promise when Ex 23:25 does not include the word rest? I'm not saying you are wrong. I just don't understand the connection. Thanks for your help. Grace to you, Kalos |

2 | EdB, Is promise here for believers today | Ex 23:25 | EdB | 146706
Kalos If you read Lissamz's first post on this thread she shows the connection is made through Hebrews 4:1-3. Which refers the children of Israel not being allowed to enter the promises land but had to continue in the wilderness for 40 years, only in Hebrews it uses the word rest. Thus we see the promise of Exodus is also is a foreshadow of the rest of Christ. EdB |
