1 | EdB, Is promise here for believers today | Ex 23:25 | EdB | 146704 | ||
I'm saying the what the promise foreshadowed is for believers today. The promise was for two things; one land a literal promise given to Israel. The other object of the promise was "rest". This rest was actually a foreshadow of the rest Jesus would give each believer. So in that sense the promise of rest which was a foreshadow of the rest in Christ is for believers today. No where here or in my original response do I say the land known as the country of Israel was promised to the church, if that is what your asking. EdB |

EdB, I thank you for having the attitude of James 1:19 "...But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger..." You actually read what I was saying and read my disclaimer from my first posting on this topic where I made it 100 percent clear that I had not read the entirety of the post and only chose to offer what the Word says Itself about the OT promises that apply to believers today THROUGH the atoning and redepmtive work that Jesus performed on the Cross. God bless you and shine His countenance upon you. hidden in Christ, Lissa |

Lissa Stick around here any time and you will develop thick skin. One other thing you will learn is it is very hard to effectively communicate by the way of forums. All of us at one time or another have been guilty of jumping to conclusions or not considering everything someone else posted. I'm probably one of the biggest offenders of this. But I thank you for you kind words. Be blessed EdB |
