1 | Ten Commandments vs. Galatians | Ex 20:1 | JWeaver | 176343
I have to disagree with BradK. He stated "except Sabbath-keeping" in his explanation. God does not change. He offers us Grace through acceptance of his only son Jesus Christ. His laws are still his laws. Man cannot keep his laws because of sin. He wrote the ten commandments twice therefore he made no mistake when he said remember the sabboth in exodus 20 or wrote them in exodus 31:18 and rewrote them in exodus 34:12(this is also in deuteronomy). We only know that the sabbath day was the seventh day. man made and changed the calendar days over the years therefore we can only guess at the orginal seventh day. We may guess and observe a day once a week. but we must always remember that every day is Gods day and everything in it belongs to Him. If we guess wrong but continue to worship him in our hearts through Christ, Christ will present us to Him without sin. If you love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself, and keep your faith, you, through Christ, will be keeping the ten commandments. Trust(keep faith in) the Holy Spirit to keep you on the right path. |

2 | Ten Commandments vs. Galatians | Ex 20:1 | BradK | 176346
Jweaver: the quote was not mine but from the source I quoted- Bible.org! "This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?" The Book of Galatians answers your argument in it's entirety. Your argument is not with me, but scripture. Gal 5:4 "You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace." Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

3 | Ten Commandments vs. Galatians | Ex 20:1 | JWeaver | 176353
BradK, I think we're in agreement. All I questioned was your statement(except the sabbath). The ten commandments were not changed. Gods law remaines intact. we are saved by Grace through Christ. We are no longer under moses' law, an eye for an eye etc. God will never change. He is the same today as he was thousands of years ago. peace in Christ,Brother P.S. I have no argument. |
