I agree with Nolan on this.Children are saved up to an age of accountability. Yet this brings up a question that will challenge many on this forum. Some say that we can't lose our salvation, yet a child loses their salvation if they don't grow up to accept Jesus. This is a contradictary statement but a belief that is held by some. So are children condemmed until they accept Jesus or is there a falling away of those who grow up not accepting Christ? | ||||||

Interesting. My mind puzzles and puzzles this. Infants should zip right back up to the Lord, leaving us to ponder what lesson they were sent to us for. Infants and children being extremely different. I think this would fall into the realm of "sins of the father." As Christian parents it is our duty to raise our children in faith. I'm one of those who DO believe we can lose our salvation. We must be diligent in our faith. Romans, chapter 11 leads me to this belief. Yesterday a few folks quipped about born again - again. I got a giggle out of that! I thought that was quite cheeky! However, I puzzled over it. Is my fear exaggerated? But again, Romans, chapter 11 verse 23, God will graft them in - again. Good chapter. Highly recommend it! Lisa |

Just because a person believes in eternal security does not automatically mean that that person believes that you can live like a heathen and get away with it. I believe in Eternal Security as well as knowing that the Bible commands us to live Godly lives. In fact, I wouldn't have it any other way than to live a Godly life! However, 'eternal security' does NOT give us a free license to sin!! This is not at all what eternal security teaches, nor is it what those who believe in eternal security believe. - Nolan |
