What doe logic say, the same person that died must be resurrected, e.g. if a 50 yr old died then surely a 50yr old would be resorted as that is what they are, so if a 10yr old died the a 10yr old must be resurrected as they is what they are anything other than that cannot be the same person, is that not so? e.g. Lazarus was resurrected Lazarus as with all the resurrections recorded in the Bible including the ones that where young children, they contunued growing into adulthood as far as we know. Hello DBR, Not only logic but Scripture says that the same person who dies will be resurrected. But Scripture also says the body will be different: 1 Cor. 15:35-37 (ESV) But someone will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?" [36] You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. [37] And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. 1 Cor. 15:42-44 (ESV) So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. [43] It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. [44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 1 Cor. 15:53 (ESV) For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. The other side of this is: How do you know the child will be given an opportunity to turn to God? My Bible says there is no chance after you die (see Luke 16:19-31). Steve |

I put down what the scriptures say to me, you may or may not agree. At Revelation 20:12-14 is recorded John’s vision of the earthly resurrection: “I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. And death and Hades were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.” I would seem that some mentioned in the above have need of judgment as they have made thier mind up on somthing that God has to judge. DBR |

Hello DBR, I agree they have need of judgment. The point I'm making is that they made their choice while living. Infants who have died cannot fall into this judgment because they are unable to make the choice. Steve |

So they then need an opportunity to be able to make a choice and this could only come if they where brought back and given the opportunity to be able to make it? As God is Love, what would you do in his place having all power at your fingertips, so to speak, with those who are innocent through no fault of their own, as we are made in his image having the ability to reflect his love? DBR, I'm in agreement with Tim and my previous response to one of your other posts in asking, which scripture tells us that ANYONE is ever "brought back and given the opportunity to be able to make it?" This directly contradicts Hebrews 9:27-28 which says; "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him." Also, you must not confuse God's Love with His demand for Holiness, Righteousness and Justice. He is a God of Mercy and Love, but also of Holiness, Righteousness and Justice. We- as sinful man- cannot stand in the presence of a Holy and Righteous God on our own merit. We must have forgiveness of (our) sin and be clothed with His Righteousness (1 Cor. 1:30). Apart from that,we can have no place with Him. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
