WHEN SONS GO ASTRAY Clarke says, "a charge of gross insensibility and ingratitude is then brought against the Jews, by contrasting their conduct with that of the ox end ass, the most stupid of animals,..." Isaiah and other prophets had to preach to an obstinate and rebellious people. Isaiah 1:2 shows that sons of God can go astray. Many of the same type would reject the Messiah whose coming Isaiah foretold (Isaiah 53). "He came to His own and those who were His own did not receive Him" (John 1:11). Israel's sin, had made a separation between them and God (Isaiah 59:1,2). Sadly they would reject their only hope of salvation. Paul says the unreceptive Jews were chopped from the olive tree because they did not believe; though they were the natural branches (Romans 11:17,20). Just as obstinate Israel turned from God, so can God's child turn from Him today. Paul warns the Christian of following the same example. "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall" (1 Cor. 10:12, cf 10:1-11). It is too bad when the preaching of God's ministers no longer have an effect. I enjoy hearing our local preacher give a strong message from the Bible. It helps to keep us strong. - Samantha Interestingly, many in the premillentialist camp believe -- through misinterpretation of Romans 11 -- there will be in the future a mass conversion of all Israel to Jesus Christ. The 'all Israel' that will be saved will be saved in the same manner that Gentiles are saved. If they believe, and only those who believe. |

Since I am a Messianic Jew and know of many conversions occurring in Israel as I write I would have to say that Romans 11:23 is being fulfilled Now.

Hello Asis, don’t confuse a small number recognizing that Jesus is the Messiah with what will take place in the future. You suggested Romans 11:23 as taking place now; read on and keep it in context, especially verse 26 where the word “all” is used. Romans 11:23-29 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? 25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Study the book of Daniel with regard to his 70 weeks, and the rest of the Minor Prophets and you will see that Israel must make a seven year covenant with a strong leader for protection, who will deceive them and turn on them after 42 months. Israel won’t be grafted back in until the times of the Gentiles is over. Study, study, study, CDBJ |

The point is they will be grafted in and are welcomed by God now. We must be careful with what we teach and say to those babes in the faith NO ONE IS EXCLUDED even those who have turned their backs on God's Messiah. In fact we should be grateful that the Jews play the harlot for it is by their rejection of Messiah that the offer of salvation has been given to the non Jew, the gentile. God has made a perfect plan and we spend so much time trying to figure it out rather than resting in the reality that He is in control. It is more important to get right with God than to figure out the day and the time. I'm not down playing the study of scripture particularly the Old Testament. It proves the faithfulness of God. It is a lesson for the Jews to see their error and more and more they are having the veil lifted from their eyes. We are in a time where God is offering to all who will believe to become a Jew, a believer in Jehovah.

Hello Asis, All of what you have said is good and noble but it doesn’t back up what you suggested in you last post of which I presented you with Scripture to prove otherwise. You said in you previous post, and I quote, “Since I am a Messianic Jew and know of many conversions occurring in Israel as I write I would have to say that Romans 11:23 is being fulfilled Now.” How, with Scripture, can you prove that your statement is true with reference to the verses that follow Rom. 11:23? Romans 11:24-28 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? 25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: Are you saying by your statement that the fullness of the Gentiles has come in? Please inform, CDBJ |

Hello CDJB Let me thank you for your response to what I wrote. It has caused me to think about the times. Times are coming to a close. Not all prophecy is fulfilled with the snap of God's fingers. Jesus fulfilled Is 61 in part and we fulfill it in part. Don't the conversions of many Jews fulfill what is spoken of in Romans 11:25-26. Are we being blinded so we cannot see the move of God? I cannot prove by scripture what I said. 2 Cor. 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. We must be careful not to miss the spirit of the word and only live by the letter. It can be very easy to become legalistic and miss the spirit behind the word of God. Is the time of the Gentile coming to an end - Yes. Is Israel being restored by the Jew beleiving - Yes. Will Christ return Now - I hope so, could be, not for us to know. Are we ready? God will judge but my prayer is we are. 2 Cor. 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. The veil (vail) has been removed from my eyes and many other Jews. God calls on all of us to come to Him. |

Hello Asis, Have you read any of Marvin Rosenthal’s books? I would like to recommend one called, The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church. The Lord has given me the chance to write biblical poems and here is one that I wrote that you might enjoy; I’m not sure how the format will look on the forum but I am sure you will get the gist of it. CDBJ TO THE JEW FIRST Unjust trials, a loathsome hill, the curse of a wooden cross. Yeshua HaMashiach, he came to save the lost. Who was this precious one, come down from above? Twas Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad. He paid the price for sin then rose up to the sky. He’s known throughout the scripture, as Jehovah Adonai. He was sorely rejected by his own, they still proclaim. We know not this one called Jesus, though Yeshua is his name. Messiah came and died, to set his people free. The story was foretold in Isaiah 53: God came down upon this Earth, as a man in time to dwell. It’s written in Isaiah 7: He’s called Immanuel. Psalm 22 spoke of his death, how they pierced his hands and feet. He was nailed up to a cross in fact, so lives could be complete. Receive this true Messiah; believe in Yeshua’s name. No other one is coming, and this has been your shame. Accept God’s gift Messiah, He was sent as sacrifice. The spotless Lamb of God, who could only pay the price. The Lord will lift the curse and fight for you again, If you’ll but turn to Yeshua to take away your sin. Moses led you out but God had sent the plan. To follow one name Joshua, into the Promised Land. He was a type in fact, of one who fills the need. The promise of a savior, the fulfillment of a seed. It all points to Jesus, if you seek the truth you’ll see. He’s the answer for the Jew, in all of prophecy. By Charles D. Bickett Jr. |

Hi Asis, You can find my e-mail address at the end of my personal profile, which I might add, that all those on the forum should fill out. By filling out a personal profile it more or less shows that the one filling it out is on the up and up, and that they don’t have an ulterior motive for being on the forum. Any one can click on the author of any post and read the author’s personal profile if you would care to try it. CDBJ |
