Hi Finder, Hope this will help you out a bit - one of our brothers suggested reading Clark and many others. I can identify with your lack of money for purchasing books. If you follow the link for more Biblical sources on this home page, you will be taken to a site called e-Sword. When I found it last week, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. It's wonderful and mostly free and contains much information. You might even find some of those answers you're looking for (or in the very least, a direction toward those answers needed). But also keep in mind that some things are as they are because they are. They were deemed that way by our Father God. It will all be made clear in That Great Day, but not before. After all, if we had all the answers, where would the need of faith come in? Blessings Cheri |

Thanks for the tips Cheri, I will take a look at e-sword and see how it works. By the way, your comment regarding the need of knowledge/answers and faith, leads me to ask you another question: What is in faith that makes it so central for pleasing God and have a relationship with Him? What is the essence, principle, nature, or virtue in it that makes it so necessary for walk, living, practice, salvation, and relationship with God? After all, the apostle Paul was knocked down by Jesus on the road, a light from heaven flashed around him and he heard Jesus talk to him. Then, some time later, he went up to the third heaven, which makes me think that he didn't need very much to exercise "faith". He KNEW and experienced things in a very "concrete" in a very "lively" way, with no time or need of trying to figure out what was going on between him and God regarding matters of relationship, sanctification, work, ministry, and I guess he even knew when he was going to die... (just a sudden consideration here...). Thanks again, Finder |

Hello Finder Thank God we don't need to be knocked on the side of the head - we have His blessed written Word; it would indeed be nice but we don't need flashing lights and voices from heaven (which last but only a moment) - we have the eternal blessed Word of God; we don't need a visit to the third heaven - we have the written Word of God (Paul did not, at least not all of it). On the other side of the coin, Paul was beaten and left for dead, shipwrecked, and thrown into prison numerous times, he had to be sneaked out of town or murdered - his life was full of perils - how would you have fared? Even with lights and voices and visits, would your works have the substance to stand the test of fire as his did? And don't put Paul on a false pedestal. He had his moments of doubt, of wondering - you can hear it in his letters - but you can also hear the renewing of his mind in his letters - the part that says "I believe," "I am convinced," and "I am fully persuaded." I am very happy God chose him, and not someone from 2007 to do that job. Quite frankly, I honestly don't think people today have that kind of muster. The first time someone in authority told us to quit speaking that Name or be imprisoned we'd be on our cell phones to our lawyer to find a way around the law, instead of just doing what God told us to do. Just as an afterthought: someone once said: "Some things are commanded because they are right, other things are right because they are commanded." And faith, sanctification, work, and ministry are commanded. Blessings Cheri PS I just realized I didn't address your actual question, so let me put it in the venacular, with a picture anyone can identify with. You are a parent, you tell your child that next month you are going to take him to Disney World. Child has a choice of two reactions: cross arms over chest and say "yeah, I'll believe it when I see the tickets and the castle" or "oh boy, oh boy, wow! Thanks. I gotta tell somebody!" Which is pleasing to a parent? I know that oversimplifies the subject but it does simply boil down to Heb. 11:1 "calling those things which be not as though they were." I mentioned the written Word at the beginning of this note and that Word has been fulfilled time and again. It's God's way of telling His children He's gonna take us to a much better place than Disney World. What is your reaction to that promise? |

Hi Cheri, I even rehearsed how I would answer your questions and show you how I "flared"... and for a moment I forgot that I was rehearsing to tell my story on a public site... even though I am anonymous here.... Although I never had a premeditated reason for "flaring" in my 10-year "persecution". And it would be crazy to expose such a bleak picture in this site. And there isn't the remotest reason to do so. All I can say is that I came out with mere clean conscience. And I mantain my point, Paul got all the best gifts... Not because of the gifts themselves. But because of the knowledge of God he had through them. Even in the most "ordinary" gift, he got it better than anybody else: 1 Corinthians 14:18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. And, what is my "reaction" for that promise? Y E S T E R D A Y - I S - T O O - L A T E ! |

Finder, Blessed Resurrection morning to you If you'd like to email me with those "answers" feel free to use my email address (it's in my profile). I'd be interested in reading them and maybe we can have a nice discussion on our thoughts. Blessings Cheri |

Dear Cheri, It is kind of you to be interested in this. But I really don't believe it would be of any spiritual benefit telling you the story. It would only be an interesting psychological thriller as some say, specially as some psychologists I know say. But I was struggling to defend the integrity of my conscience and the only small measure of thuth I knew, and a small faith. My lack of knowledge of the revelation of God's attributes and character didn't help in significant expression of love and faithfulness. (Not that I know much of it now. As my previous note may indicate). Finder |

Finder, I'll respect that but I'll leave the offer open. And the rest of your note has me baffled. I'm not sure what you're trying to say. 1John 2:12-14 John speaks to little children, sons (young men) and fathers. Maybe you're trying to delve into things meant for fathers before you've gained revelation for sons....? We are spiritual beings but our growning is still going to mimic that of growing in the natural. We can't run if we haven't learned to walk, and we can't stomach the meat of the Word if we haven't been weaned off the milk. Blessings Cheri |

Dear Cheri, I can see your point, and of course I know you are right. But adding the required patience for this process to take place to the circumstances I am living with, which, by the way, won't give me neither the luxury of having enough time to study all the theology I need, the "Disneyland with foundations" stands as the most appealing "option". Ask the Father for the patience, He will give it. It's part of the fruit of the Spirit which is freely given to any who ask. In love cheri |
