1 | Where ARE the four corners of the earth? | Is 11:12 | TommyS | 105554
A while back I read something about science discovering where the four corners of the earth really are. But I can't remember where they are. Does anybody know?
2 | Where ARE the four corners of the earth? | Is 11:12 | Makarios | 105555
Greetings TommyS, Isaiah 11:12 and Revelation 7:1 and 20:8 all speak of "four corners of the earth." Here is a bit of commentary on these verses and "four corners of the earth"... [Isaiah] "11:12 the four corners of the earth: This figurative expression is similar to the words of Acts 1:8: "to the end of the earth." .." (1) [Isaiah] "11:12 four corners of the earth. This figurative expression depicts the whole world (Rev. 20:8). .." (2) [Rev] "7:1 four corners. The 4 quadrants of the compass; that is, the angels will take up key positions on earth.." (2) Blessings to you, Makarios (1) The Nelson Study Bible, New King James Version, 1997, Thomas Nelson Publishers, Earl D. Radmacher, pg. 1133 (2) The MacArthur Study Bible, 1997, Word Publishing, John MacArthur, pgs. 973, 2001 |

3 | Where ARE the four corners of the earth? | Is 11:12 | TommyS | 105610
Makarios, sorry about that. I just now opened my e-mail and, lo and behold. Earlier this evening I came back to my computer, where the forum is on and happened to notice one from Taleb. I responded to his before I even knew you had dug up an answer. Taleb's was somewhat what I was looking for - in the "actual location" of the four corners of the earth. Very interesting, to say the least. While the info you provided is appreciated, I found it fascinating (is that spelled right?) that the earth actually does have four distinct corners. TommyS |

4 | Where ARE the four corners of the earth? | Is 11:12 | Makarios | 105620
Greetings TommyS, I appreciate your response, but I have to side with Hank and Kalos on this one.. I must ask, how did the source mentioned by Taleb get their answers? And as Kalos has already said, the earth, seen from space, is in much greater resemblance to a sphere than a box, and I would hope that you would agree with me on that one. With that said, I really cannot see how one could come to any four distinct 'corners' of the earth. At least this information (these points) cannot be derived from the Bible, that is for sure. Blessings to you, Makarios |

5 | Where ARE the four corners of the earth? | Is 11:12 | TommyS | 105766
I appreciate your comments, both on this topic and others involved with this forum. But, I must agree with Taleb. If you get a chance to read what he wrote, he never said anything about any box shape. He wrote to Hank about who discovered it and just because the bible doesn't say anything about man walking on the moon doesn't mean what we learned about that part of God's creation isn't valid information. Anyways, I somewhat received what I wanted to know, and appreciate what comments people have offered according to what they know or think. TommyS |

6 | Where ARE the four corners of the earth? | Is 11:12 | Makarios | 105768
Greetings TommyS, You are welcome. But it will take much more than a simple scientific article to deal with the contradiction that you and Taleb now face with Isaiah 40:22. Blessings to you, Makarios |
