1 | Proverbs 3:5-6 ; in a relationship | Prov 3:5 | number | 127635 | ||
I'd like to have some clarifications about the chapter Proverbs 3:5-6" "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." My girlfriend offered me to read these verses, and I have to see them through the following light: she's thinking whether to continue our relationship or not. This is very sad but besides praying and give her all the time she needs, I can't do anything else. We are very much in love and we have done many life experiences together, we both realized how similar we are and everything is perfect when we are together. However, due to our background difference, she is not sure whether I am the right person or not |

That passage basically means what it says. If we will allow it God will lead us through life. However that requires a committed, submitted and dedicated life style. However God is ever present and He does direct us if we listen. Many here on the forum are going to offer advice to you but none are qualified to give good advice since they have no accountability to you. What you need to do is get someone your Pastor, a relationship counselor or someone with accountability to both you and your girlfriend to sit down and help resolve this issue. Trust God for the correct outcome. EdB |
